How can I participate?

Reservations:

Make your reservation at least ten (10) days prior to your date of arrival by submitting the online Spend the Night application or by calling the Corps Recruiting Office at 1-800-TAMU-AGS. Then, print out the Waiver, Indemnification and Medical Treatment Authorization Form, fill it out and sign it and fax it to: (866) 324-0695.

To participate in SNWC:

If you are a qualified junior or senior in high school, please bring your confirmation packet and the following items with you:

  • An unofficial or official high school transcript; courses completed as well as courses in progress
  • A resume, list of activities and accomplishments, or draft of Part II Extracurricular page from the State of Texas Common Application.
  • Review the requirements to compete for a Corps Scholarship available at www.Aggiecorps.org
  • Approximately $35.00 cash to cover expenses, including parking in the University Center Parking Garage (see campus map enclosed in confirmation packet), meals, and incidentals; participants will pre-pay for meals at check-in (cash payment is required - approximately $15.00 covers dinner and breakfast)
  • Notebook, pen and calendar
  • Sleeping bag, pillow, towel, change of clothes (casual), toiletries, and campus map

As part of the scheduled overnight program, you will participate in an Application workshop presented by the Office of Admissions. Therefore, you should look over the online version of the State of Texas Common Application. Be familiar with all the requirement of th applicaiton. But pay particular attention to the essay questions. You will get the most out of your Admissions session by taking the time to complete a draft of Part II of the application (Personal Achievements) and initial drafts of Essay Topics "A" and "B" prior to attending the program.

During SNWC seniors in high school will meet with an Admissions Counselor who will answer questions, review your application and help you complete it. If your application is complete at the conclusion of your SNWC, you will also be able to submit your application to the TAMU Office of Admissions.

If you are a junior in high school, the documents we are requesting you bring are for instructional and reference purposes only and not intended to be submitted to the Office of Admissions at this time.
