freshman orientation week (fow) August 17–24

Incoming freshmen Corps members began reporting to their units Sunday, Aug. 17 to start Freshmen Orientation Week (FOW)—the 31st year of the program.
Conducted by the Office of the Commandant and experienced Cadet leaders, FOW is the freshmen’s first taste of life in the Corps at Texas A&M. Approximately 700 freshmen—the Class of 2012—will participate.
The purpose of FOW is to introduce new “fish” to the basics of the Corps lifestyle and operations, and to prepare them for the academic year. A military review on the Cadet dormitory Quad starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22.
The Corps of Cadets welcomes the Fish Class of 2012!
